Originally designed for a VeeCon 2023 scavenger hunt, PortalQuest connects real-world discovery with augmented reality and a personal portal collection. This 2026 interface refresh brings clearer typography, stronger contrast, consistent navigation, and personal settings to the experience.

01 / Quest discovery
Give the adventure
a clear starting point.
A horizontal carousel introduces the hunt, with the next Scan portals card peeking into view. A white search icon and clear actions make each step easier to find. Navigation stays in the same order—Quest, Scan, Portals—while the expanded menu adds settings, rewards, hints, and help.
02 / Augmented reality
Bring the portal
into the room.
The AR view places a digital character in the participant’s surroundings. Clear status and guidance sit on solid backgrounds above the camera view, while a prominent Start AR action connects discovery with the experience.
03 / Personal collection
Keep discoveries
within reach.
The access design separates wallet connection from browsing a public collection, with a labeled address field and a clear action for each path. Selected portal previews match their detail view, where Collect portal and View in AR keep the next steps within reach.
04 / Personal settings
Make exploration
feel personal.
The new Settings design brings text size, reduced motion, contrast, and device preferences together. Clear groupings and labeled switch states make preferences easier to understand, with account and privacy controls close at hand.
